The Ignorant Apamea (Apamea indocilis) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found from coast to coast in southern Canada and the northern United States, south in the east to Maryland, south in the west to central California.
Many authors consider it to be a subspecies of Apamea remissa.
The wingspan is 35-42 mm. Adults are on wing from May to August.
The larvae feed on various grasses.
